My Favorite Application on iPhone

Map + Compass
You’ve reached you destination.
Map + Compass

Find yourself.
Say you’re in an unfamiliar neighborhood looking for a nearby restaurant. With iPhone, you can easily find where you are on the map and figure out how to get there. iPhone pinpoints your location quickly and accurately using a combination of GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular towers. As you move, iPhone updates your location automatically. And when you arrive, drop a pin to mark exactly where you are and share it with others via email, iMessage, or MMS. Or tweet your location without leaving Maps.

Search for a location.
You need a shot of espresso. Just type “coffee” in the search field or ask Siri “Where’s the nearest cafe?” and iPhone shows you exactly where to go. Searching works with specific addresses and business names, too. When you find what you’re looking for, tap the pin to bring up more information, such as phone numbers, web addresses, and more.

Change your view. See traffic.
Maps look amazingly crisp and detailed on the high-resolution Retina display. You can switch between map view, satellite view, and hybrid view — even see a particular address in street view.1 Double-tap or pinch to zoom in and out. Maps also shows you live traffic information, indicating traffic speed along your route in easy-to-read green, yellow, and red highlights

How to get from here to there.
With iPhone, you can see a list of turn-by-turn directions. Or follow a highlighted map route and track your progress with GPS. You can see how to get there if you’re walking, driving, or taking public transit. iPhone even shows you what time the next train or bus leaves.

Know where you are.
And which way you’re looking.
The Compass app works with the built-in digital compass to tell you which direction your iPhone is facing. And in the Maps app, the compass rotates the onscreen map to match the direction you’re facing.2

1. Street view is not available in all locations.
2. Compass reliability may be affected by usage conditions such as nearby magnetic fields.
Maps, directions, and location information depend on data collected by third parties. These data services are subject to change and may not be available in all geographic areas, resulting in maps, directions, or location information that may be unavailable, inaccurate, or incomplete.

Armor for Man and Horses in The Maximilian style

I am interested in arm and armor exhibition because the armor in each country have own style.  In Thailand, almost armor made from woods and steel but almost Europe‘s armors made from steel. Many times I met Europe’s armors in movies and it is make me interested in it. They have many styles and information on it.  And also they have armor for horse too.

The armors help the warriors have self-confident and be conceited in the wars. The armies who have a stronger armor they can be win in a fighting.  Moreover, the armor can protected them from enemy when the emnemy used a weapon hits on the knight body. That mean the armor can be saved them life.

A Renaissance knight’s prestige and power were demonstrated by his armored house. This mounted knight wares German fluted armor, which typically included a round helmet, globular breastplate, and broad-toed sabatons (defenses for the feet). The rippling of the surface of the armor plates with channels and ridges imitated the pleated folds of contemporary dress. Steel plates were also strengthened by this corrugated effect, so they could be made appreciably thinner and lighter. This knight is seated on a 16th-century saddle with fluted saddle steels (plate reinforcements).

This type of fluted armor was called Maximilian armor, after the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian 1 (1459-1519), pictured here is Hans Burgkmair’s 1508 woodcut. Known as “the last knight” Maximilian was an avid participant in tournament and hunts an established a court armory in Innsbruck in the Tyrol, the center of the Habsburb family territories.
